KNOWING JESUS CHRIST

Our greatest desire for you is salvation. The Church is a community of believers in Christ who trust wholeheartedly in Jesus for the forgiveness of our sins.

God Created You for a Purpose: God created man to honor, serve and fellowship with Him. “Thou are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for You have created all things, and for Your pleasure they are and were created.” (Revelation 4:11)

Man Has a Problem - Sin: Man chose to sin against God rather than serve and glorify Him. The Bible says, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)

The Penalty of Sin - Death: When man chose to disobey God, the result was death. The basic meaning of death is separation. The Bible teaches that there are three types of death, or separation, that result from sin. Spiritual death separates a person from the life of God. Physical death separates a person’s soul from his or her body. Eternal death separates a person, both body and soul, from God forever in hell. God declares in the Bible, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)

Is salvation possible?: It is, but not by trying to earn or gain salvation on our own. God says, “For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest anyone should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

The Payment for Sin Is Jesus Christ: Jesus Christ, the sinless Son of God, was sent by the Father to pay the penalty for our sins by dying on the cross in our place. The Bible says, “For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God. (1 Peter 3:18a)

Turn and Trust to Receive the Gift of Salvation: God commands all men to believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. In order to receive God’s salvation, you must repent of your sins and put your trust in Jesus Christ alone as the only hope of salvation, God says, “Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out.” (Acts 3:19a) “For whosoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:13)

God Makes a Promise: Salvation is for all who will repent and believe. Jesus said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgement, but has passed from death into life.” (John 5:24)
